Our mission is to be a non-racial organisation that advocates for the rights of people (children, youth and adults) with all forms of disabilities (physical, mental and intellectual) focussing on:
Prevention and Awareness
Capacity Building of Parents
Empowerment of Communities
Network with relevant stakeholders
Our vision is to render a structured, quality and multi-disciplinary service to persons with multiple disabilities, within the communities of the Swartland region in the Western Cape of South Africa.
We focus on...
The biggest factor for proper child development is love. At Jo Dolphin, we ensure that our students feel loved by our staff, and we teach them how to show love to both other students and themselves.
Since our students cannot work in our society, we ensure to teach them things they would have learnt if they could. With our coffee shop, Cherry Blossom, we teach them basic kitchen skills, communication skills, cleanliness skills, ect...
We strive to let our students explore their curiosities in a safe way. We make sure to listen to their needs and wants, and appropriately fill those needs. To do so, we take them outside of our facility (with approval of guardians) and show them bits of the world.
